Research Proposal
We write your research proposal. You submit it for acceptance. funding. approval. admission.
Research proposals built by specialists in your field to win supervisor sign-off, secure funding, and earn PhD admission across UK, US, and global universities.
This is for you if...
You have a research proposal due and the stakes are high. You may be:
A PhD applicant whose proposal must impress an admissions panel to secure the place.
A Masters student writing the dissertation proposal that supervisors must sign off before the real work begins.
A scholarship applicant whose proposal will decide whether you get the funding.
A researcher applying for a grant or fellowship where the proposal must beat dozens of competitors.
A student whose first proposal got rejected and needs it reworked from scratch.
We have written for all of these. We will write for you.
Four proposal types we write
Four proposal types, four very different sets of readers. We adjust the framing, structure, and depth based on who will read and what they look for.
PhD application proposal
1,500 to 3,000 words
For admissions panels at UK and US universities. Must surface your contribution, defend your research question, signal supervisor-readiness.
Masters dissertation proposal
2,000 to 5,000 words
For your supervisor. Must show feasibility, defensible methodology, real literature gap. Foundation for everything that follows.
Scholarship application
500 to 2,000 words
For Chevening, Commonwealth, Rhodes, Fulbright. Must demonstrate impact potential, funder alignment, return plans.
Grant or fellowship bid
5,000 to 15,000 words
For funding councils, research foundations. Must address impact, methodology rigour, budget, dissemination.
Methodology frameworks we work in
The right methodology defends the proposal. The wrong one sinks it. We pick the framework that matches your research question, your discipline, and your supervisor's expectations.
PRISMA
Systematic reviews
For evidence synthesis across published research. Mandatory in healthcare.
PICO
Healthcare interventions
Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome. Standard for clinical research.
SPIDER
Qualitative synthesis
Sample, Phenomenon, Design, Evaluation, Research type. For qualitative reviews.
PEO
Mixed methods
Population, Exposure, Outcome. Bridge between qualitative and quantitative.
Qualitative
Interviews and themes
Thematic analysis, narrative inquiry, grounded theory, phenomenology, IPA.
Quantitative
Surveys and statistics
Descriptive, inferential, multivariate, longitudinal. For hypothesis testing.
Mixed methods
Both approaches
Explanatory sequential, exploratory sequential, convergent parallel designs.
Case study
Single or multiple cases
Yin or Stake traditions. For research where context matters as much as findings.
Not sure which framework your proposal needs? Send your research question on the consultation call. We tell you which fits and explain why.
How a strong proposal is built
Strong proposals are not written front-to-back in one sitting. They are built in stages, with checkpoints at each one. Here is the standard build.
Topic exploration and refinement
You arrive with an idea. We test whether it is researchable, feasible in your timeframe, and aligned with your supervisor or funder.
Typically 3 to 5 days
Research question definition
From a topic to a sharp research question. Specific enough to answer, broad enough to matter, original enough to defend.
Typically 2 to 4 days
Literature gap identification
We map existing research, identify the conversation your work joins, and surface the gap your proposal will fill. The gap is what makes the proposal worth funding.
Typically 5 to 7 days
Methodology design
We choose the framework, justify it against your question, design the data collection, anticipate ethics, plan the analysis.
Typically 4 to 6 days
Proposal drafting
Full draft by your matched specialist. Introduction, literature review, questions, methodology, ethics, timeline, references.
Typically 5 to 10 days depending on length
Supervisor or panel review
You take the draft for feedback. We respond with revisions until everyone is confident in the proposal.
Timing depends on supervisor turnaround
Why AI proposals get binned
Admissions panels use AI detection to filter applications before any human reads them. A flagged proposal does not get a fair shot. Here is what separates a proposal we write from one ChatGPT writes.
Human-written
- Original argument grounded in your research question
- Real engagement with current literature in your field
- Defensible methodology your panel will accept
- Voice consistent with your existing academic writing
- Passes Turnitin, GPTZero, Originality AI, Copyleaks
- Survives panel scrutiny in person
Bin within 30 seconds
- Generic phrasing flagged by automated detectors
- Hallucinated citations to papers that do not exist
- Methodology that crumbles under panel questioning
- Reads inconsistent with your other application materials
- Fails Turnitin and similar AI checks routinely
- Reputation damage if discovered post-submission
We test every proposal we deliver against the same AI detection tools your panel uses, share the report with you, and rewrite anything that flags before you submit.
Our commitment to your work
We cannot guarantee a specific mark. No academic writing service honestly can. A mark depends on factors beyond any writer's control: the marker's expectations on the day, the specific rubric weighting, the moderator's review, the external examiner's preferences.
What we can guarantee is the quality of what we hand you BEFORE you submit it.
Our commitment
- Every chapter is written to distinction-grade standard in our internal assessment before it leaves our team
- We run pre-submission AI detection and plagiarism checks on every chapter, share the reports with you, and rewrite anything that flags
- We deliver one round of free revisions based on your supervisor's feedback
- We do not deliver work that we would not stake our twelve-year reputation on
- If at any stage you feel the work is not at the standard we promised, we revise until you are confident enough to submit
This commitment is the same one we have honoured since 2014. It is why over 1,200 students have trusted us with their dissertations.
Meet the founder
Specialists do the writing. I match clients to the right specialist, read first drafts, and stand behind every dissertation we deliver.
Taiwo Oladokun
Founder & Head of Specialists, Delight Data Exploration
DDE started in 2014 with one writer (me) taking on dissertation chapters for Nigerian postgraduates who were drowning at UK universities. The work paid off. Word spread. One writer became eight specialists.
Twelve years later, I still personally match every client to the right specialist. I still read first drafts. I still answer the WhatsApp messages at half past ten at night when a dissertation deadline is forty hours away. If you bring me your brief, I am the person who decides whether we can deliver. If we can, you get a small team who treat your degree like it is theirs. If we cannot, I tell you upfront.
And the team I built around me
Three of our eight specialists, anonymised for their privacy. Each one writes only in their subject specialism. You will meet your matched specialist on your free consultation call.

Common questions
How much does a research proposal cost?
We do not publish fixed prices because every dissertation brief is different. Variables include word count, deadline, subject complexity, referencing style, and your stage of the project. Bring your brief, your deadline, and your budget to the free consultation. We tell you exactly what is possible.
Will my work pass Turnitin and AI detection?
Yes. Every dissertation is human-written by our specialists, not AI-generated. We test our work against the same tools your university uses (Turnitin, GPTZero, Originality AI, Copyleaks) BEFORE we deliver, share the reports with you, and rewrite anything that flags. Twelve years of zero plagiarism incidents.
My deadline is in three weeks. Can you still help?
Most likely yes. Three weeks is enough time for two to three chapters at standard turnaround, or a complete short-form dissertation with rush turnaround applied. Send your brief today and we tell you exactly what is possible by your deadline.
What if my supervisor changes the direction halfway through?
We expect this. Supervisor pivots are normal. One round of revisions is included free in your project price. If the pivot is substantial (new research questions, new methodology), we quote the additional work upfront so you can decide.
How do I pay, and is it safe?
You pay through our secured payment gateway via card, bank transfer, or Paystack. We do not require full payment upfront. We typically work in milestones: a deposit to begin, balance on delivery, with longer projects split across more milestones.
Will anyone know I used your service?
No. Confidentiality is absolute. Our specialist who writes your work signs a non-disclosure agreement. Your work is delivered to your private email only. We do not publish your name, your university, or your topic. The work is yours from the moment we hand it over.
Stop guessing. Start getting accepted.
You have a panel, a supervisor, or a funder waiting. You have a PhD place, a scholarship, or a grant riding on this proposal. Twelve years and 1,200-plus clients later, we know what gets accepted.
Book a free twenty-minute consultation. Tell us your deadline. We will tell you exactly what we can deliver and when.
